Julio Crespo Group entered in Tenerife market in 1974, within the framework of the contract with UNELCO company. Some years later, we obtained a new contract , and this time with CEPSA company we started to work continuously until 1997 when we took a decision to set up Julio Crespo Canarias, s.a.
Our attitude of responsibility, special customer treatment and strive for quality from the first moments has helped us to become the leaders in Engineering and Application of Anti-corrosion Treatment, Passive Fire Protection, Reinforcement for Concrete Structures, Restoration of Historical Monuments and Decorative Paint and Epoxy Resin Finish in the Canary Islands market.
Some years later, due to the amount of work and market share achieved, we were required to settle permanently in Tenerife by purchasing a plot in, at that time, incipient industrial zone of Güímar. Plant for Air blasting and Paints was built and equipped by cutting-edge technology. At the present there are also our central offices there. In 2005 the surface of our plant was doubled.
In 2006 our incessant growth led us to start a construction of a new plant in Ingenio Municipality of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, which was inaugurated at the end of 2007 and where are also the offices of that local branch.
This growth led us to obtain various quality certifications in procedures application as well as in safety and environmental care. These certifications are represented by the quality seals as well by the ISO 9.000, 14.000 and 18.000 certification. Willing to keep improving, a time ago we have introduced the Total Quality concept through EFQM European Excellence model (in which we have obtained 200 points in the last evaluation). Here the aspects as profitability, leadership, HR management, environment, safety, quality of products and services and social responsibility have been taken into account.
As our recent main challenge we have launched our foreign expansion with the objective to internationalize of our business. That is why we already work on an energy-megaproject in Qatar, feeling deeply proud of it.
